Itching during leprocy treatment

HI Sir, my father has been suffering with leprosy continuous treatment is going on since two years but in these days he suffering with itching at up of feet causing wound and he contacted local practitioner and took the injection. Please tell me why its happening during the treatment of leprocy regards, Abdul
