Itchiness in groin and vulva area
For the past one year suffering from skin itching in the groin and vulva region.consulted many doctors where they initially diagnosed as fungal infection. But the medication didn't improve the condition. Then consulted another doctor where diagnosed as inverse psoriasis but still no improvement in the medication. Again after few months consulted another doctor where she confirmed it's not inverse psoriasis and told it looks like dermatitis and suggested to use momex cream, cobetasol cream. There will slight reduce in skin inflammation but again I had flare ups and currently using Luliconazole cream where the condition is worsening. I also took KOH test where the test came negative for fungal and yeast. I am really tired of visiting various doctors and put under various steroid creams. Due to this itching not able to concentrate on my daily works. I just at least wanted it to be diagnose my condition.

Get the Skin biopsy done and you will straightaway get the answer of your query. Let the dermatologist do the rest of the work. There is no MD dermatologist on this earth who cannot treat psoriasis. Biopsy and other necessary investigations pending. Then there are numerous treatment options apart from Steroids which somehow are good for initial resolution of symptoms but for a long way you will require Immunomodulatory/suppressives/ Biologics as your disease demands.

Please visit the clinic if possible

Hi there young lady ... At the outset, empathize with your situation. Itching in the 1% area is a frustrating & socially embarassing issue. At the outset it does not seem fungal at all to me given your history, clinical features description & negative KOH study. There are many options to handle this. One must consider "stress" & rarer conditions (if you are sexually active) and these need to be ruled out..some introspection and a frank discussion may be in order. Much more detailed history needs to be taken. There is no indication as to where you hail from and even if you do perchance hail from Bangalore, you may still want to reach out directly Online using this App's INSTANT ONLINE Consultation or related Apps like Apollo 24/7 to avoid the hustle n bustle of traffic ⛔ etc Look forward to suggesting a solution to resolve this itching problem 🙏 Regards.
