Hiii usually
U get a good immunity after the one exposure
But there are chances of reactivation if your body immune status falls down - some situation
1) taking steroids
2) increasing age can lower immunity
3) diabetes
Some of the most common reasons
In these situation TB may reactiavate in your body
Hope this helped
For any further doubt u can consult for the same
Thank you
Since you got tb spine .. just ensure why it happened at all in first place. Get your sugars checked . It's highly unlikely to happen again but it's better to reshape your immune system for best possibility in future
You have completed the full course of treatment for spinal TB, which is very good. In most patients, if the medicines are taken correctly for the recommended duration, TB usually does not come back. However, in a small number of cases, relapse can happen
Hello ma'am,
Spinal TB usually gets cured completely after a full 9-month treatment, but in some cases it can come back if immunity goes very low or other health problems arise. Since you are healthy now, there is no need to worry — just keep regular follow-ups and maintain a good lifestyle.

Yes, tuberculosis (TB) can come again after treatment in some cases. This may happen if a person’s immunity is low or if they are re-exposed to someone with active TB. Completing the full course of treatment greatly reduces the risk, but it does not give lifelong protection. To prevent recurrence, it is important to maintain good immunity, attend regular follow-ups, and use protective measures such as wearing masks when around suspected TB patients.
Next Steps
good immunity, attend regular follow-ups, and use protective measures
Health Tips
use protective measures such as wearing masks when around suspected TB patients.
T.b. can recur, if the previous infection remains residually and then aggravates or reinfection occurs. These 2 situations can occur due to reduced immunity. Hence keep immunity strong by a healthy diet and life style.
Good morning
Chances of repeat in future is very low. As you have completed your course and you with regular medicine , so I would say it's unlikely that it will recur. You can relax
Next Steps
Just be watchful for fever, back pain , and weight loss
TB can come again and that’s peculiarity of tuberculosis but if you maintain healthy lifestyle and diet it won’t come again. I have expertise in diet related diseases. There is a proper way to avoid TB in future by follow these day to day routines. You can reach out me for further advice.
Recurrence is rare after a proper, complete anti-TB course, especially if there are no health issues like diabetes, HIV, or immune suppression.
However, TB can rarely relapse if the bacteria were not fully eradicated or if new infection occurs from a different source.
Next Steps
Continue a healthy lifestyle and regular follow-up as recommended by the treating physician.
If symptoms such as back pain, fever, or neurological issues return, seek medical attention quickly for early diagnosis and management.
No further investigation or treatment is needed as long as there are no symptoms and general health is good
Health Tips
Maintain awareness of any new symptoms but do not worry unnecessarily—most people remain cured after full treatment.
Keep medical records and imaging safely for reference in the future if needed.
Avoid exposure to known TB cases, support immune health, and attend regular health check-ups
Tb causing bacteria is one of difficult bacteria and congrats u have win against it once. But it has a tendency to hide in our body at places our immunity and medicines can’t reach. So there is chance to recur in future but as long as u stay healthy, chances of recurrence is very low to zero, so stay healthy!!
Chances of recurrence is there only if you are immune-compromised , also with any co-morbidities
Required more details, kindly consult me through practo
Health Tips
Maintain healthy lifestyle and follow the safety measures like wearing mask in public places.
Have you go a sputum test again after completing course
If it comes negative then. U are tb mukt
But there is no guarantee that you cant have have tb again in your life
Its better to stay safe and healthy and away from tb patients after this and avoid any risk factors in future
Health Tips
Make sure to eat healthy and build your immunity now so that you can be safe in future
