2. General Anaesthesia (GA) is must for laparoscopic surgery, whereas open surgery can be done under GA, SA(Spinal Anaesthesia), LA(Local Anesthesia).
3. Intra-operative & post operative complications are more with laparoscopic surgery.
4. Intra operative conversion rate from laparoscopic surgery to open surgery is more in complicated inguinal hernia.
5. Highly skilled & experienced Surgeon is again a requirement.

First of all is it painful??
Laparoscopy can be done. Chances of converting it to open surgery is there coz it's irreducible hernia which may be bit difficult to tackle laparoscopicaly.
But to answer to question h can undergo laparoscopic surgery.
