What the values mean:
Hb 6.8 g/dL → quite low
Ferritin 10 → low iron stores → confirms iron deficiency
Hb <7 → may need hospital evaluation
If symptoms (breathlessness, dizziness, chest pain, weakness): Blood transfusion may be required
Treatment
Start oral iron therapy (e.g., ferrous ascorbate / ferrous sulfate)
Take with vitamin C (improves absorption)
Avoid tea/coffee within 1 hour of tablets.
