GENERAL ANAESTHESIA and INTUBATION is THE REQUIREMENT
There is nothing to be scared of with intubation

I understand your concerns and it can be frightening for someone to think of surgery. Intubation is necessary for most surgeries that are done under general anesthesia.
You really don’t have to think of the pain associated with intubation as it is only done once you are adequately under anesthesia, meaning you wouldn’t be aware of the tube being placed or removed. You will most likely wake up with the tube already removed from your throat.
Please don’t worry about it too much.
