Hello doctor,
Since last week i have been getting very disturbing thoughts of my toddler being in danger or myself hurting her. This is something that has never happened before. We have recently shifted to a new city and i had to stay alone for a few days when this happened all of a sudden. I read a lot and i have started mindful breathing exercises daily. Feeling better but the thoughts creep in without any reason and that makes me difficult to concentrate on anything else.
By nature, i am quite reserved and totally opposite of what thoughts i get.
Please help.

Before diagnosing any kind of disorder, evaluation details are required. Feeling loneliness itself can make so many unnecessary thought in the mind. Or any kind of emotional situation can make thought busy... So I mean may be it's not a kind of psychological disorder, as it's started recently, may be it's totally the natural response for your difficult situation. So as it's recently happened, the treatment can be affected easily and fast.
