An Intramural Fibroid of size 13 × 11.8 cm in the fundo-posterior wall is considered very large. Such fibroids are benign but can significantly affect uterine structure, future fertility, and nearby organs due to pressure. Ayurveda correlates this condition with Garbhashaya Granthi, involving Kapha-Vata imbalance and tissue overgrowth. While Ayurveda can help in controlling growth, reducing symptoms, and improving uterine health, expecting complete disappearance of such a large fibroid purely with medicines is not realistic in most cases. Surgical intervention is often considered when size is this large, especially before planning pregnancy. However, Ayurveda can still play an important supportive role.
Next Steps
Your sister should not delay proper guidance, as size and location matter for long-term reproductive health. A personalized, stage-wise Ayurvedic approach may help in reducing progression, improving uterine environment, and preparing the body if future conception is planned. The decision between conservative and surgical management must be taken after careful clinical evaluation, not only belief. For detailed assessment and a structured plan aligned with her goals, you may connect with us at 9 3 1 5 6 6 1 5 6 5 for better treatment guidance in a professional and holistic manner.
Health Tips
She should follow a Kapha-Vata balancing lifestyle—avoid heavy, oily, processed foods and excessive sugar. Prefer warm, light, easily digestible meals to support metabolism. Regular physical activity and maintaining a healthy weight are important to prevent further growth. Avoid prolonged stress and irregular routines, as they disturb hormonal balance. Gentle yoga and relaxation practices can support reproductive health. With timely and balanced management, symptoms can be controlled and overall uterine health can be improved effectively. Thank you

“A fibroid of 13 cm is quite large and needs proper gynecological evaluation. Ayurveda may help in symptom management and slowing progression, but complete resolution of such a large fibroid without surgery is uncertain. Since she is 33 and may plan pregnancy in future, timely decision is important. Please consult with reports so the best and safest approach can be advised.”
