Hello, don’t worry about your problem. Severe pain may be attributed to an anal fissure, often caused by constipation. To alleviate this, avoid straining during bowel movements. Implement the following regimen: Sitz Baths: Take a sitz bath with warm water twice daily to soothe the area and promote healing. Topical Anesthetic: Apply Xylocaine jelly 2% approximately 15 minutes before defecation to numb the area and reduce pain. These measures will help manage the condition effectively. It is crucial to address underlying constipation to prevent further fissures. Maintaining proper hydration, a high-fiber diet, and regular exercise can aid in preventing constipation and promoting overall digestive health.
Next Steps
A proper anorectal examination is needed. You can reach out to my clinic for the examination and treatment."
