Intermediate risk 1:725 down syndrome
My friend's dual marker test for down syndrome has an intermediate risk of 1:725 and NT scans are normal. Tests are done during the 12th week of pregnancy. What are the chances of a healthy baby with the above risk ?

Chances of a healthy baby are very high. Please get the triple marker test done after 3 weeks. If it shows high risk then the patient should go for NIPT.

Do NIPT test ,if still  inconclusive AMNIOCENTESIS  required. Risk  of 1 in725,is actually  not an indication for further  Evaluation.

You may need NIPT or Amniocentesis so you will get confirmatory results as these tests are more sensitive.. Get counselling from genetics consultant

Better to go for NIPT. NIPT is still a screening test but it has a very high sensitivity. If it's negative u could be assured that baby is not affected. One baby out of 725 will have downs syndrome according to reports

Nipt is also a screening test Confirmatory test is amniocentesis. In all circumstances whatever the risk maybe, chances of having a healthy baby are always higher . So let her undergo confirmatory testing by amniocentesis.
