Dual marker test
Hi, I recently had my Dual Marker test, and the result for Trisomy 13 and 18 came as 1:90, which is  at 90:100 of the cutoff value. Because of this, my doctor has recommended that I undergo the NIPT test. I am currently 14 weeks pregnant. Today’s appointment was emotionally overwhelming, and it felt like my world was turned upside down. What adds to my confusion is that all my other blood reports are completely normal. The stress has been very difficult to handle, especially since the doctor also mentioned that termination is an option, which deeply affected me. I want to be very clear that I do not want to lose my baby. I can already feel my baby responding after I eat or drink, and that connection makes this even harder. I am looking for positive, reassuring information about the NIPT test and would really appreciate support and clarity, as this situation is causing me a lot of anxiety.

Your double marker test  definitely calls for NIPT or Amniocentesis. Skipping the tests is not an option if healthy baby is the aim of pregnancy.
