What is the maximum time minor cracked ir bruised rib can pain? It has been 7 week that is still tender
and some minor dull pain sometimes or if I bend at some angles it seems like Minor moving or some sensation.I went to 3 doctor they said its not swelling so no issues, other one said just wait few days to heal, third one said x ray is useless for me for injury if u r concerned take ct scan but ct scan is dangerous. Is pain after 7 week fine or it takes years for rib injuries to go pain hundred percentage and to heal properly. When I press that area pain increases and when I go to doctor they press too hard in my bones to do investigation so I am afraid to go to again new doctor for treatment as they might break my rib more by doing palpation.

It depends on the rib site of injury , muscles , ligaments involved. It may take few more weeks to months for before it heals completely. There is no reason to do x-ray at this time ,as it may show only the healed rib fracture. As you are reluctant to get the CT scan ,go for an musculoskeletal ultrasound study which is sensitive to muscle and ligament injuries. For the pain continue with analgesics . exposure to cold weather ,AC may aggravate your pain ,so take appropriate care.
According to your sign and symptom you are suffering from rib inflammation.
