After intake of the chlorine gas usually the construction of the branchial muscles will occur and that's the reason you are getting the cough and also there will be a mild irritation and with swelling of branchal muscles. Try to take anti inflammatory drugs at least for 3 days including steroids at least for 3 days and bronchodialators at least for 3 days and if you want in detail you can contact me and check your oxygen saturation level.
