Ingrown toenail

Asked for Male, 25 Years

My left foot toenail had ingrown which has caused swelling and infection. It pains on wearing shoe. Puss also come from it while cleaning. Its happening again ang again after certain interval. I took medicine for it but it keeps coming back. My family doctor recommended me a minor surgery to cut the nail from its root to have a permanent solution to it. Need a doctor who could do it as the pain increases a lot sometimes.

Also if there is currently swelling around your nail there can be current active inflammation which would have to be subsided before proceeding to the procedure when you meet the Dermatologist or the General Surgeon he will advise you on how to control it.
