Inflammatory knee and pain
I'm a lady 47 yrs, 5 feet, 82 kg. I have pain in my knee for last 2 months approx and also feel tick tick or cut cut in my knee. I feel inflammation in my knee all of a sudden, and after a few minutes it is gone. I can move my knee freely when sitting but after standing for long it becomes painful to walk. Whom to see, orthopedic or rheumatologist?

The knee can undergo degenerative changes with age. However, weight can be a major contributing factor for early degenerative changes. Your knee pain could be because of both these factors. Treatment would be essential.
Next Steps
Visit orthopedic doctor so that the inflammation could be reduced with medications. However, physiotherapy will play a key role in enhancing your knee movement and reducing pain for long term benefit.
Health Tips
Apply ice to reduce inflammation if any.
