Hello. Very Good evening. I'm Dr.Yogesh Kr Sharma. First of all I don't know who one is writing antianxiety drugs in case of chest infection. You mentioned that with your personal and professional life,  then why to prescribe hard drugs who works on our GABA ( brain neurotransmitter)  systems to imbalance them. Yes there is no need to take Tab. RIVOTRIL ( 0.5 mg). You are taking Tab. Thronorm which is prescribed in case of Hypothyroidism. Do you think that at the age of 36 years,  you are suffering from Hypothyroidism,  I strongly doubt it. Kindly repeat your Thyroid Function test after stopping Tab.  THRONORM for atleast 15 days,  believe me you should have second opinion. No,  the answer is no, the RIVOTRIL is not a life time medication. Taking RIVOTRIL for longer periods can have physical and psychological dependence. As far as your serum total Cholestrol is concerned,  please stick to dietary modifications and exercises. For chest infection,  have a course of antibiotics to treat it. Now i think you query has been answered. Oh my god what these quack doctors are doing to innocent people. Take care and have a hasty recovery. Bye.
