Infected ingrown hair (pubic)

Asked for Male, 22 Years

Have had what i believe to be an infected ingrown hair, its gotten pretty painful and i've applied hot compress to loosen it, ive used polysporin, and even tried cutting it to relieve pressure but nothing is working, advice?
