Infants weight gain
Need to understand weight gain chart for my preterm baby girl. feels like she is underweight. she was 2.78 kgs at the time of birth 35w 4days. She is now around 3.60 kgs at 6 weeks from birth Though where ever I have read, it mentions about a concept of adjusted age. Can you let me know what her weight should be for 6 weeks, 2 months and 3 months. And should I read adjusted age for her or not? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Instead of getting into technicalities of ages, just understand this,a preterm baby will grow MORE rapidly than a full term baby. Babies weight should double their birth weight at 5 months, triple at 1 year of age,and be 4 times that of birth weight at 2 years of age. In your case, she should gain around 28 grams weight per day for first 3 months,so she's doing well. Just ensure breastfeeding at regular intervals and burping after every  feed. Maintain strict hygiene.
