Hi. 1st 6 months of life should always be exclusive breast feeding. this is the period when the child's immune system is developing. Mothers milk gives the child all the required nutrition up till 6 months, it is the mother's milk that has the properties to build in the strong immune system for her child. it is important that the mother has the healthiest of foods during lactation, as those will be the nutrients in the milk reaching the child. Start solid foods after 6 months of exclusive breast feeds.
