Long-standing black spots on the cheeks along with rough, pigmented skin on the chin are most likely due to chronic pigmentation (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or melasma) along with some textural skin changes. Since it has been present for many years, it requires consistent and long-term treatment. Helpful Tips / Word of Caution: • Pigmentation takes time (weeks to months) to improve, so be patient • Avoid sun exposure and always use sunscreen, even indoors if exposed to light • Do not use multiple strong creams together without guidance • Since it is long-standing, combination treatment under a dermatologist will give the best results. You can consult me online via app for detailed evaluation and treatment.

Black spots on the cheeks present since childhood can have several causes such as nevus (mole), lentigines, post-inflammatory pigmentation, or other benign pigmentary conditions. The exact diagnosis depends on clinical examination
Next Steps
It would be advisable to consult a dermatologist for proper evaluation and to discuss suitable treatment options.
Health Tips
Use sunscreen daily Avoid rubbing or picking the area Use a gentle face wash and avoid harsh scrubs or home remedies like lemon, baking soda, or toothpaste on the skin.
