Dr. Is a painless and non healing tounge ulcer is always cancerous or not. Please reply whether it is always cancerous or not

No ulcer can be of other causes also , like trauma or infection. But all long standing ulcers increases the chance of malignant transformation .So in all long standing non healing ulcers it will be very important to rule out cancer and also very important to treat it to prevent cancer development.
