I have been taking PAXIDEP CR 25 mg for last 4 years. I want to taper off. Since CR can't be halved can I change to paxil 20 mg and then taper off by 10% in steps.

In my personal opinion, psychotropic drugs should not be consumed for that long time! The Psychiatrist also should have reduced the dosage with time! However, I would not advice you to reduce the dosage or change the tablet, without consulting the same psychiatrist. Take her/his suggestion to reduce.
