I had previous 2 doses on upper arm. Since i was travelling today I had to get my 3rd dose in a local clinic. He administered it in lower arm soft portion in tilted manner. I did not feel any pain unlike the 2 doses I had. Now I'm worried if he administered it properly or should I go to a proper hospital and get another dose?

"The standard administration for the Rabies vaccine is Intramuscular (IM), usually in the deltoid muscle of the upper arm. While the 'lower arm soft portion' is not the conventional site, if the vaccine was delivered into the muscle tissue even at a tilted angle, it will still trigger an immune response. The lack of pain compared to your previous doses doesn't necessarily mean the vaccine was 'incorrect'; it often depends on the needle gauge and the specific technique used by the practitioner
Next Steps
Do Not Repeat the Dose: You do not need to take another 3rd dose immediately. Over-vaccination is not recommended and your body has already received the antigen.
Observe the Site: As Dr. Manisha mentioned, watch for any unusual swelling, redness, or persistent pain beyond 24 hours. A small, painless lump is normal.
Complete the Schedule: The most important thing is to ensure your remaining doses (if any are left in your schedule) are taken on time and preferably in the deltoid muscle (upper arm) to maintain consistency.
Consult for Peace of Mind: If you are extremely anxious, a simple physical exam of the injection site by a senior physician can confirm if there is any localized reaction.
