Hi
Freezing is an anxiety response of the body when it perceives threat in the environment. If this is happening in the social context u most likely hv social phobia, treatment of which is possible thru psychotherapy. You might have to take medications if it severely impacts your daily life.
Next Steps

She will then treat u using psychotherapy
She may even refer u to a psychiatrist if symptoms r severe. However the decision to take medications is entirely yours

Health Tips
Engage in self-reflection and practice expressing your thoughts on your own. This can help to boost your confidence.
Fogging of memory could be the result of plenty of mental health issues. If this is causing you significant distress in your everyday life, I would suggest that you seek help from a mental health professional.
Your difficulties in recollecting and recalling and also with memory may have many reasons that will have to be assessed by doctors. On the other hand, it could also be due to psychological reasons. My suggestion to you right now would be to begin addressing your problem through a physician / family doctor who may be able to check out if it is the result of any physical condition like vitamin deficiency or hyperthyroidism. There are many physical conditions that can trigger issues with memory. If your condition does not turn out to be related to physical health, please visit a psychologist and explore underlying mental health conditions, if any, and the ways to deal with them.
Many times we freeze because we are afraid of the reaction we might get. Unless you actually try responding, how will you know if people will make fun of you or applaud you?
