I don't know if my hair is thinning

I'm only 22, my grandfather on my mom's side had about a golf ball size spot on his crown when he passed away at 67 but he was a smoker and such and I don't smoke or anything, but to my my part looks weird so I'm worried if my hairs thinning and need to see a dermatologist or not, it it's just a part id rather not waste the $200
