Your fasting and PP sugars are above the recommend goals for pregnancy. Uncontrolled diabetes in pregnancy can increase risk of preterm delivery, large baby, affect the baby’s heart and kidney development, increase risk for cesarean and cause low blood sugar in the new born. Mixtard insulin is not ideal and doesn’t work best to improve your sugars, particularly in pregnancy. Long acting insulin called basal insulin and shirt acting insulin which is taken before each meal is more suitable and effective in pregnancy

It’s best to change your insulin from your current pre-mixed regimen to a basal-bolus regimen. Through the course of pregnancy, your insulin requirement may increase and giving a pre-mix wouldn’t be ideal.
Diet control & regular exercise is utmost important and keep an eye on your weight gain. You do not want to gain more than 9kg through the course of pregnancy
