I. 5ml Phenergan to much?

Asked for Female, 36 Years

My son has Chicken Poxs his 10 mouths old. He was awake alot itching last night & feared he'd be the same tonight so I gave him 1.5ml of Phenergan, now i'm sitting by his bed worried, even tho he's happy & fast asleep, it says not recommended for under 2years, not "do not give to 2years and under so thought 1.5ml would be OK,, yes I know I probably should not of giving it to him at all & won't be giving it again cos I'm so worryed & won't sleep anyways cos ill be checking him, is 1.5ml to much?

Hello, generally Phenargan is not recommended in infants. In your case, you have given 1.5 ml of Phenargan. This may cause mild sedation in your baby, he may sleep a little bit longer. Keep observing him, if he behaves normally, nothing has to be done. No need to worry.
