Hello there, Firstly, a healthy diet plan will be needed with proper lifestyle change with medications as your TSH leveles are very high. First consult with a physician for proper medication, then consult a dietitian for lifestyle change and diet plan. A good diet plan will help your TSH levels to come down to controlled level, weight loss is also required which will be achieved after following the plan.

Your BMI is in the obese range, and because you weigh more, fatigue and breathlessness are commonly observed. You are suffering from Hypothyroidism that’s the reason your metabolism is slowed down, which is why you are gaining weight. Here are some guidelines you can try to follow in your daily routine: - Include more of whole grains such as millets, brown rice, oats, etc. - Try to include protein in all 3 major meals of the day to support your metabolism. - Add fibre to your diet by including more fruits and vegetables which will improve your satiety and help in weight management. - Avoid consuming raw cruciferous vegetables, instead boil them and have it. - Limit fried foods, packaged snacks, sweets, excess salt, and refined sugars. - Stay active by including daily activities like walking, strength training, and yoga for stress management.

Diet suggestions (with regular Indian foods): • Include: • Whole grains: brown rice, red rice, millets (ragi, jowar, bajra) in small portions. • Proteins: dals, beans, sprouts, paneer, curd, milk, eggs, fish, chicken (if non-veg). • Vegetables: plenty of green leafy vegetables, gourds, carrots, beans, cucumber, tomato. • Fruits: papaya, apple, orange, guava, watermelon (avoid excess banana, chikoo, custard apple). • Healthy fats: nuts, seeds, small amounts of cold-pressed oils. • Foods to limit/avoid: • Deep-fried, bakery items, packaged/processed foods, sugary drinks. • Limit soy products, cruciferous veggies (cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli) in raw form—occasional cooked form is okay. • Avoid excessive tea/coffee around thyroid medicine (keep at least 1 hour gap). Lifestyle changes: • Take thyroid medicine daily on an empty stomach, wait 30–45 minutes before eating. • Aim for 30–40 minutes of walking/yoga daily. • Regular sleep (7–8 hrs) and stress management are very important. • Small, frequent balanced meals help maintain energy.
Next Steps
• Meet your doctor to adjust your thyroid dosage (TSH 19 is high and needs correction). • Consult a dietitian for a personalized meal plan for weight loss and thyroid management.
