We consulted many doctors for my son's Hypospadias repair surgery. We found they have different opinions on his condition, impact and eventually need for surgery.
I can share images for reference.
1. Please suggest do we need to go for a surgery?
2. What will be impact, if we don't go for this surgery?
3. How many stages will be there?

Number of stages depend on severity of the defect. Hypospadias severity depends on the location of the urethral opening. If it is near to the natural site it is called distal. Such defects can be cured in one surgery. The ones away from the normal natural location are called proximal and they mostly require 2 stages to correct it. I can only comment once I see the pics. The most common problem in distal hypospadias is cosmetic. Since it does not look normal it bears a big psychological effect on the boy's mind as he grows up. Secondly the stream of urine may not direct forward but instead may fall on his legs and trousers. He may find it difficult to use public restrooms. Lastly more proximal hypospadias patients will not be able to perform intercourse and will lead to infertility.
Next Steps
Immediately consult a pediatric surgeon or pediatric urologist and get the hypospadias corrected.
Health Tips
The surgery should be performed around one year age and you seem to have already delayed it a lot. It will leave a lasting impression on the child's mind if we do it later.
