I have had gut issues recently after my uti treatment. Symptoms were abdomen pain on right side but tests like endoscopy and ct scan contrast came normal and right now I have constipation, little bit mucus in stool my mistake was I went on google and Reddit and read so much that I convinced myself that I have IBD (my symptoms are not at all severe) but I convinced myself at this point that I have severe issues like ibd or some other issues my doctors say i am stressed but after reading and googling so much I have become very hypochondriac and I am not able to function mentally and my professional, personal life is disturbed cause of this fear and doctors won't do invasive tests unless they see the proper reason to do so. I am just very anxious now I just feel everyday is the same it's like a habit i can't stop myself from
Googling symptoms.Although senior gastroenterologist said I have ibs I can't simply accept it.I feel doctors are missing out on something.

Hi,
I understand how overwhelming and anxiety-provoking this situation is. It's common to feel hypochondriac when constantly searching for symptoms online, but trust your healthcare providersâthey've done thorough tests and diagnosed IBS, which is a common condition. Try to limit your Google searches and focus on managing stress through relaxation techniques, therapy, or counseling, which can help reduce health anxiety. Remember, overthinking can worsen symptoms, so consider speaking with a mental health professional to support your mind and help you accept the diagnosis. You're not alone, and with proper support, you can regain control and peace of mind.
It seems to be psychosomatic changes. Both anxiety and IBD are interlinked. It needs to be treated asap otherwise it may get complicated.
It can be well treated with counseling sessions and homeopathic medicine effectively and without any side effects.
It needs to be treated in a holistic approach for complete recovery.
You need an expert Psychologist who is a good homeopathic physician.

Hi
What you’re going through is very common in people dealing with health anxiety, especially after a real physical issue like a UTI. Your symptoms are real, but the way your mind has started interpreting them is what’s increasing your distress. When tests like endoscopy and CT scan are normal and a senior gastroenterologist has assessed you, it strongly points toward conditions like IBS, which are closely linked with stress and the gut-brain connection. The constant Googling and reading on Reddit has created a loop where your mind keeps searching for certainty, but instead finds worst-case scenarios, which increases anxiety and makes your symptoms feel more serious. This is how health anxiety maintains itself. Right now the main issue is not that doctors are missing something, but that your mind is struggling to trust reassurance. Try to gradually reduce symptom checking and Googling, even if it feels uncomfortable at first, because that is what is feeding the fear. Bring your focus back to routine, meals, and calming your body rather than scanning for symptoms. What you’re experiencing is treatable with CBT techniques that target reassurance-seeking and catastrophic thinking, and with consistency you can regain control over your thoughts and daily functioning. You are not alone in this, and this pattern can be reversed with the right approach. For further help contact nine two six six seven two six zero six five
Dear concerned, Focus on gut-directed mindfulness and cognitive reframing to break the "cyberchondria" cycle, as your normal scans strongly support a functional rather than structural issue.

The ongoing fear seems driven by health anxiety and reassurance seeking. Reducing checking of symptoms on google and working on anxiety management can help break this cycle
Hi...Please follow medical opinion in such matters. Take a second opinion if you are not satisfied with the current one. Your psychological stress can be addressed through Counselling but the medical issue (gut related), if any, will require a medical assessment and treatment. If your doctors conclude that there is no physical cause, than it can be attributed to psychological factors. Remember, our gut health is an important aspect that imapacts our mental health and vice-versa.
