Patient lost her mother in April 21, she's blaming herself for her death. She's unable to proceed for her student or articleship life even after due efforts and after all this she is getting suicidal thoughts. We all are unable to get her to a counsellor. Looking for way so that she could give her consent for the same and we can bring her to a counsellor for a few session. After many requests she declined to meditate or any other way to get of the situation.
Help me out how can we ask her to go for a session or how to tackle this situation when I'm the only person in her contact.

Hello ...I believe the person is under extreme stress due to the trauma of the loss. She may be going through a phase of Denial and Anger as well. Loss of parent at a very early age makes a child feel like she has lost the anchor of her life. Keep a compassionate view and conversation with her. Tell her that no one in this world will have a unique solution for her but speaking to a completely disconnected person such as a psychologist who can support counseling can definitely help her.
Next Steps
ensure compassion and kind words with lot of empathy

Hello,
She seems to be suffering from severe depression. Taking her for counselling at this stage will be difficult. You can start her on medication for depression after consultation with a psychiatrist, which seems an easier and better option.
