I had a wart on my chest area. It was there like before 5-6 months..now I have many warts near my genital area (vulva). Doctor said that it is due to HPV..and its a type of STD and it's been transmitted to you through sex..How is it even possible because I have never had sex with anyone..? And if this is something serious? I am quite worried.

Hi, you are just unlucky to get multiple genital warts after having a single wart on your chest. This may not be sexually transmitted as in your case. You have transferred the virus to your genital area. We call this autoinoculation. However, the best treatment for genital warts is freezing with liquid nitrogen. This leaves the least scarring in the genital area which is very important given that you are yet to start your sexual life. Another reason the virus has spread is because your immune system is unable to fight the virus. Sit in direct sunlight every morning to improve your vitamin D levels and sleep early at night (10pm). Also eat awla to increase your intake of vitamins C. These do help in fighting the virus.
