How to treat eye irritation and itching

Hi I am 30 year old male and I am having some infection in my eye since 4 days. There is too much of itching especially in my right eye. This started with irritation and because of irritation the itching also began. The itching is so severe that once I itch my eyes starts to water. kindly suggest what should be done to control the itching and the irritation?
