Milk production is never less just our assessment may be poor. 6-8 urine in 24 hrs indicate you have good milk No bottle, pacifier should be given. Baby should be allowed to suckle as long as she wishes You may find some useful videos here to guide you on proper attachment and position: http://m.raisingchildren.net.au/articles/breastfeeding_positions_video.html http://m.raisingchildren.net.au/articles/breastfeeding_attachment_video.html http://m.raisingchildren.net.au/articles/breastfeeding_overview_video.html

The two most important factors for good lactation are a good healthy balanced diet by you and regular suckling by your baby. Ensure a gap of atleast 2-1/2 to 3 hours inbetween breastfeeds, feed at one side for 5-10 mins ONLY. The best measure of good oral intake is urine output, which should be 5-6 times a day,AND regular weight gain. If you still feel your lactation is not sufficient, some medicines can be tried, but try the above first,if not improving in 7-10 days, get back.
