How to diagnose huntington disease

My mother is 55-years old and has lately been experiencing severe personality changes, extreme stress and problems in coordinating efficiently. My grandmother suffered from Huntington’s and I’m worried that my mother is batting the same condition. I have scheduled an appointment with our doctor but would still prefer to know how can one diagnose Huntington disease. Can anyone help?
