How long to heal sprained ankles

I am a 37 year old female and I am just getting treated for a sprained ankle. I had a fall some time ago and I just got to get some medical help. My ankles hurt like crazy and I want some quick relief. I want to know the sprained ankle recovery time and how long it will take for me to be pain-free completely.
