HIV spreads by four methods and the least efficient method out of these is spread by needle prick. Incidence is 1 : 300. You attended to HIV patient 27 days ago. You can not get a palpable node under the chin so soon. And sore throat is also a remote possibility. You should get your HIV test done after 4 weeks , that is tomorrow and, if negative, get it done again after 12 weeks. After 12 weeks, if you get a negative report, you need not test further.

You cannot be immunocompromised in 27 days after infection, as you know it takes a longer time. Do not worry. If the thought is bothering you too much, you can always go for testing or post exposure prophylaxis. Better to consult with Integrated Counselling and Testing Center before taking any decision and next steps if you think it is necessary.
