Hiv anxiety
I had unprotected vaginal intercourse with a woman of unknown hiv status on the 8th October 2020 and immediately started PEP within 24 hours of the incident.I asked her and she said she has nothing. But i have been soo badly stressed ever since the incident.so after 20 days I was prescribed a tridot hiv test.It came out non reactive.Even hepatitis B surface antigen test came non reactive, and hepatitis C virus antibody test came non reactive.so am i safe or do i need more testing. Is there a chance that my negative report will turn positive in the coming days.now i am imagining lymph nodes also.iam very anxious.please help.i can't sleep at night.

Hi, Apprehension regarding contacting HIV is quite common especially after intercourse with a commercial sex worker or unknown/strange partner. But in your case the best part was that you started PEP at the right time, it gives you almost complete protection. You don't need to repeat any test or undergo anymore tests. I assure you, you are very much safe and fine!
