It started as foot pain in the second toe and followed by swelling until mid foot. Went to the doctor and they gave Cephalexin antibiotics and said it looks like cellulitis. Then I went to my regular GP. He said it looks like gout and told me to take indomethacin and colchicine. Did blood work on Jan 6.
It shows higher lab values. Pain didn't reduce and it started on the other foot too. Same toe pain(second toe) and not able to walk on both feet. went back to the hospital. They did blood work on Jan 8, and said it's not an infection. It's inflammation because those values are high and gave me steroid pills for a week Prednisone 40mg. Told me to see a rheumatologist for this. Do I have infection or inflammation?
The swelling is reduced now. No redness. But have pain on both feet.
Uric acid - 5.4.
