Hello. Hypothyroidism is characterized by drop in the overall body's metabolism. Thus in this condition, we would advise one to have small frequent meal, which will help increase the metabolic rate. Also what is unavoidable is the physical activity. During this condition, lethargy is what sets in, thus making us unwilling to work or do extra physical activity, but that is some thing shouldn't be missed. A combined mechanism comes in picture, where frequent eating, aids increasing metabolism and the physical activity/ exercise will help aid weight loss. Now the table would also add on to the weight loss. Avoid having the processed foods, simple sugars, high fat animal and dairy products, also the visible fats that is the butter, ghee, oil, etc. Increase the intake of complex carbohydrates, 1st class proteins, and fats coming from healthy invisible sources, that is from nuts and oil seeds.
