High Prolactin due to psychiatric treatm
I am on a psychiatric treatment for irritable bowel syndrome, due to which my Prolactin level has gone very high, it is 245 and I am getting white nipple discharge from my left breast only. Is it concerning ? Which doctor should I go to, my psychiatrist, endocrinologist or gynecologist ??

Hi Certain psychiatric medications can cause rise in prolactin level which can cause discharge from breast and also menstrual irregularities But these conditions will revert back when u change medications without these side effect So I wud like to know about Since when u r on medication ? What r the medications ? Dose ? Does this symptoms appear after the medication started ? What about ur thyroid levels ? Are u on any other medications?
