Runny nose, headache, sore throat, loss of appetite, and weakness lasting 3â4 days is a classic picture of a viral upper respiratory infection (common cold or flu). Paracetamol helps reduce fever and body ache but does not shorten the illness itself â viral infections typically last 5â7 days. Staying hydrated, resting, and warm salt water gargles for throat pain are helpful at this stage.
