My brother got fever yesterday 103-104 C. took dolo 500 as per doc's prescription but still fever continues today . in between sometimes it reduced to 100-101 C. Now today he is having loose motion also. what should we do? Doctor told yday to wait for 2 days for dengue test. pl advise should we consult doc again as he is having loose motion also today.

Dengue test can be taken now itself why do you want to wait for 2 days?
You might be having gastroenterits also.
Drink lots of fluids and even ORS. Have curd everyday and have curd rice as much as possible.
It might subside. But if it doesn't , then you might require antibiotics based on the test reports.
In any case. Drink lots of water.

Hi there I understand your concern...you may be having gastroenteritis considering your history...I would suggest you to consult drink plenty of fluids,tender coconut etc to replenish water and electrolytes loss....take probiotics and antispasmodics to reduce the symptoms...take pantoprazole 40 mg before food along with domperidone...you may require clinical examination to assess dehydration and for specific diagnosis consult nearest physician they will do the needful.
