Record your BP in the morning and evening for 3 days .Use upper arm digital bp apparatus .While measuring the bp take 3 readings 1 minute apart Take the average of 2 .If it remains above 140/90 on different days it's confirmed hypertension. Family history of BP,stress , smoking are associated with BP .Your BMI is normal

See usually bp varies with physical activity. If you measure bp soon after walking, exercise or if you're stressed or anxious while measuring bp, bp will tend to record a higher range. In such cases try to record your bp after 15 mins again at rest. Monitor your bp for next 3 days. If the values come high (above 140/90) consult me on practo. Use low sodium iodised salt. Drink atleast 3 to 4 liters of water everyday. Avoid stress. Consult for any query
