Last year, I had some redness and sores on penis. Due to lockdown, I shared pics with one dermatologist, he said its genital herpes and prescribed Acyclovir 200 five times a day for 7 days.
But I didn't get any relief.
So I personally visited another dermatologist, she said its secondary bacterial infection and balanoposthitis. Post some medicines, it got cured.
But for curiosity I did for IgM and IgG blood tests for HSV 1 and 2, it came out negative. Also tests for all STDs came out negative.
Since I thought results can be false negative, I did it again after 3 months. Results came out negative again.
This year now I have redness and one sore on penis, should I worry for herpes or its something else?
