I was diagnosed with genital herpes almost a year ago as I had visible lesions.
I have recently had the HSV iGg blood test and if came out negative for HSV 1 & 2.
Is it possible that it’s a false negative (after a year) or an incorrect initial diagnosis?
I have heard you can get false positive tests but false negatives appear rare especially after one year.
Thanks
