Hemoglobin reading of a 52 year old has come low(reading is 7). What foods and diets can be advised to improve it ? (His normal hemoglobin ranges ~10-11).

What's the cause for his low hemoglobin level. For such low values, supplementation is needed. In diet, take iron rich sources like green leafy vegetables, jaggery, nuts, quinoa, etc
