Help with medication dosages.
I'm a staff therapist at a university. Currently, the school is on break and one of my ongoing patients went out of town but forgot her antidepressant medication. Originally she was prescribed 75mg of bupropion IR once a day, though her dosage was recently increased to 150mg of bupropion XL once a day. She forgot the XL medication at home and only has the original 75mg prescription. She is wondering whether it would be safe for her to take two doses of the 75mg 6 hours apart to compensate?
