Most common reason for pain in the heel is plantar fasciitis. It's not treated with medicines but rather physiotherapy.
Usually the pain is severe when putting down foot first time after getting up from sleep in the morning. The pain gets slightly better after some walking.
Next Steps
Get in touch with a good physiotherapist.
Health Tips
Stretching exercises, calcium and vitamin supplements, warm compress etc. help a lot.
In some resistant cases injection of steroids in the affected area might be needed.
