  4. Hba1c score. What to do?

Hi Dr My father was prediabetic from last 2 years and his hba1c score was 5.8-6 on different intervals. During routine checkup with cardiologist hba1c score is 6.6. Right now dr is treating him for hypertension, DLP , and right now he only said to cut off sugar from diet for 4 months no meds given for that.. What to do?

With HTN and other issues..better start him on mild medicine like metformin along with dietary changes
